Today was the big day back to working out for me, so I decided to try something new. Rather than working out to one of my many at home workout programs, I decided to create a HIIT program all my own.
All I can say is that this kicked my butt more than the first days of Insanity. This could simply be since I had stopped working out for a week while sick and I am getting back into the hang of things, but needless to say, this ended up much harder than I anticipated.
So now, I challenge you all to at least try doing one round or all three if you can make it and post your times! Use weights appropriate to your level of fitness (I use 10lbs for the overhead extensions, 8lbs for the tricep kickbacks and 20lbs for everything else). The reps on the weight lifting is also tailored for women, so men, feel free to change that to 8-10 if you’d like. If you need any clarification on what any of these moves are, please let me know!
Again, be sure to time yourself, tell me if you liked this and how you did and maybe we can all keep each other accountable. <3
I didn’t do as well as I thought I would myself, but it gives me a time to beat in the future. I was only able to complete 2 and a half rounds (stopped on the 3rd round after the push-ups). Finished everything in 40 minutes. Stopped a few times thinking I was going to get sick, but I pushed through. That, in the end, is what this challenge is all about. Pushing ourselves and conquering our mind. We can do a lot more than we think we can if we go at our own pace and try.
How did YOU do?
