Anonymous asked: I've been sick for the past five days, and I haven't been able to eat very well at all because my tonsils are so swollen that there are very few things that I can swallow that will get past them. Due to not eating right, I've lost 10 pounds, and I'm very worried about myself. Do you have any suggestions for what I can do about this..?

Personal Updates
Had to leave my job.  It is far too taxing on my knee and I honestly think it is close to the brink.  My ligament is “snapping” back when I extend my leg and it hurts a LOT.  I am still working out like crazy, but going back to P90X for now.  Had to stop Insanity while my knee heals.  P90X classic is much more weight and strength training and until I feel capable, I am subbing out...

Plan of Action
With the new job taking a serious toll of my knee, I decided to make a plan of action for myself.  I am working on compiling a list of things I need to do over this next month to keep pushing forward in my fitness and also how I can use the money I make to help when I leave this job to pursue work elsewhere.  I may go back to taking commissions for a while, working on aromatherapy and a few other...

Answer
imustbefit answered your question: It has been a seriously difficult week for me. … Is there any way you can cut back to 8-9 hour shifts so you can come home and give yourself an hour for self improvement? Unfortunately not.  We got out in teams of four and drive together in a company car, so I have to stay until whenever we are done.  Plus, with how much pain it is causing my knees, it is...

Don’t be deceived by these “100 calorie” routines.  None of these workouts that state they burn a certain amount of calories does.  Do you know why?  Calories lost is not simply based on what workouts you do, but the effort you put into them, where your heart rate is during the workouts and even more so, your body composition.  All three of these factors are taken into account when determining...

Lunch
Time for some shakeology! It really has helped increase my energy as I get used to a much more intense job. Might end up being out for 10 hours today, since one of the places is in the middle of no where. Burning an insane amount of calories though. My knees are super sore and red though. What workouts are YOU doing today?

Stressed, Sore & Exhausted?
Use eucalyptus oil in a fragrance burner or add a drop to your pillow. Eucalyptus essential oil is great for stress relief, overall mood and it can even aid with breathing to help you get a proper rest!

Tip of the Day
Stay true to yourself! Don’t let the little set backs bring you down! So, maybe you gained a pound or two from an over indulgent weekend; does this mean you should just quit? No! Don’t beat yourself up, it only makes it harder to keep pushing forward. Learn from your mistakes and move on. If you have a goal, keep working toward it. You will get there eventually.

How to Tell if You are Nurtient Deficient
One of the best ways to tell if you are getting enough vitamins and minerals is by looking at your nails. White spots on the surface of the nail, brittle, damaged, dry or cracking nails all signify deficiencies in the body. Pay attention to these signs to make sure you keep your body healthy and happy.

What do YOU do to sustain yourself for a long day with no downtime? Curious to see what you all do. I am still exhausted from yesterday!

Planning
Trying to think of some awesome things to do on Saturday as some much needed relaxation after starting this job and getting into the hard phase of Insanity (not like the beginning wasn’t already hard enough!). Good news is, my job will mean I am burning an extra, close to 2000 calories a day, because I will be VERY active.  The bad?  With Insanity and even after just today, I am thoroughly...

New Job!
Happily have a new side job that will keep me moving, so I will be burning plenty more at work.  It will be nice being more active again outside of just my workout time frames.  Hopefully it will kick my metabolism into overdrive and help my sleep. Had a lovely big breakfast this morning.  And I have to say, first time trying almond milk and I LOVE it.  Why did I not know about you before?

Diablo 3 Break!
Insanity tonight along with abs and hopefully some P90X shoulders and arms (I really need to do weights again).  Laid out in the grass at the park today in the cool breeze.  Figured I might take a little break and play some games for now! Planning out some meal ideas for tonight.  If I don’t already have you on myfitnesspal, let me know your screen name.  <3 What are you doing today?

Chapped or Damaged Skin from Your Workouts?
Everyone’s skin is a little different and depending on where you live, you may need a different daily skincare routine.  I can provide some of my knowledge of essential oils, aromatherapy and skincare if you don’t have dry/combination skin like myself.  Feel free to inbox me the climate and type of skin or skin issues you have and I can direct you to products and oils that may work for...

Today's Workout
Had an amazing workout today.  Happy to finally be getting back into my groove.  Insanity core & balance down the hole and did a 2 mile run directly after.  Felt I could go for a third mile, but my knees were still getting better, so I decided to take it easy and not push it too far just yet. All in all, I am seeing huge jumps in my fitness levels and I am proud of that. Hope you are all...

Intellectual Property
Just figured I would put a quick little thing up here so people know what is and isn’t mine on my blog.  I don’t mind people reblogging my stuff, but I don’t want it ripped either.  I NEVER put my watermark on anything that is not mine; so motivational stuff without a watermark I did not create.  While with motivational stuff with a random photo with my watermark and words over...

Tip of the Day
Fill your head with what is important and be done with the rest.  Don’t live your life holding onto everything that gets you down.  Move on; learn to forgive yourself and let go.

Having a Difficult Week?
The most important thing is that you do not give up!  It is easy to fall into an unmotivated, depressive state.  We all go through this!  What you need to do is get up and get yourself moving and make sure not to hate yourself for not doing as well in the past.  When you are having a rough time, be kind to yourself!  Don’t put yourself down because you are struggling.  The more you do this,...

Getting the Ball Rolling
Today’s Insanity workout (still in recovery week) was wonderful!  Had dropped off for a day, but I am happy to be back into my flow.  It has been a hard few weeks, but positive thinking, even when sometimes you have to FORCE nit, can do wonders.  Even when it isn’t just there, if you try to focus on positive thoughts, eventually things CAN and WILL turn around. Today was gorgeous. ...

twistedtruestory asked: I know you're pretty far along into Insanity, so I was hoping for advice/encouragement. I'm only on day 3 and I'm struggling so much, I have to pause a couple times and I'm definitely not going as fast as I wish I could. Did you find it this difficult at first? Will it get better? While it feels awesome afterwards, there's still a part of me that's disappointed in...

Think Before you Eat
When you are questioning whether or not you should eat that fried chicken sandwich or decadant slice of cake, ask yourself, if it were good for you, would you be questioning your choice in the first place? Nothing wrong with treating yourself to things in moderation, on occassion, but remember how sick you feel after eating clean only to indulge carelessly. I know I hate that feeling and I am...

Busy Day
So, looks like today is going to be pretty stacked for me.  Will most likely be out most of the day.  Just wanted to give you all a note, Shakeology samples are being sent Monday, since I should have time to address everything tonight.  So keep an eye out in the mail if you asked for one! Also, I have quite a few messages to respond to.  Thank you for all the amazing comments of warmth, love and...

A Helping Hand
Helping others has made my life so much more amazing and has truly enlightened me.  It is so energizing knowing how much good you can do for another human being simply by being kind and even saying as little as one sentence.  It you truly want to be a better person, move toward your personal goals and make REAL progress in your health, fitness and life, be kind to everyone around you (even...

Rewarding Yourself!
Giving yourself an incentive to push toward is a great way to keep yourself motivated.  If you are struggling, make a beautiful collage of everything you are working toward, both mental, physical and material.  Those the material things shouldn’t be the most important of these things, we all like to reap some reward for our hard work that is tangible, so offer yourself some rewards for...
