Favorite Workout Routine
I am loving Insanity (nothing against you, Tony Horton!) more than P90X. I enjoy P90X very much, but Insanity brings a different high to the table I have never felt from a workout before. It lives up to its name in difficulty, but you feel so amazing afterward, plus Shaun T is great.
If I am not doing my Insanity workout, I love running, used to long distance bike (which I miss) and I have...

Detoxing
I am thinking about starting a detox for a month starting the first weekend of so in May. Anyone want to do this with me? It is not a fast, so you’ll be able to eat still, I just plan on setting up a fairly strict eating regime to go along. Send me an ask if you want more information.

It has been a hard couple of days
I notice when I start to have any pitfalls in motivation, I go back to some of my thoughts and revisit my mantra. Doing this tends to set me back on track. Specifically my blog about how to gain motivation when you have lost it. I use these methods all the time, because just like anyone else, I have moments where it seems next to impossible to get up and workout. Sometimes you just need to...

Life
My keys to success in your life and your health:
Stay positive. Keep smiling. Laugh often. Know your beautiful and actively tell yourself this. Network and associate with similar minds and those looking to reach the same goals. Be your own trainer; don’t allow yourself to slack, give it all you got! Stay humble. Schedule fitness into your day. Take time to help someone else and make sure...

Reblogging & Promos
I am not a huge fan of seeing “reblog” this and I will promo you” notes on my dash. No hard feelings to those who swear by doing these things, but I prefer my blog to be content based only around things that can honestly help others in the health and fitness; also providing tidbits on my fitness and personal life. I don’t care whether this blog is ever popular or not, my...

Insanity Day 13
Absolutely my best workout in a longtime. Had a bad night, but this made it 100% better. Gave it my all in day 13 of Insanity. Did pure cardio and went faster, more reps for EVERYTHING and barely had to stop! Sprinted for every run and kept up, though panting heavily! Did 4 more push-ups jacks from my previous session. Looking to push out 20-25 for my fit test on Sunday. What did YOU do tonight?

Skin Care
We all know how amazing a shower feels right after a workout. It is like we have earned it, making it that much sweeter. How do you pamper yourself after a workout to keep your skin looking fresh?
I have done quite a lot of aromatherapy and skin care. I find my skin is super sensitive; the salt in sweat can irritate my skin and I know I am not alone in this. Would you like this type of...

I have a relatively normal to slow metabolism....
One benefit of B-12 is that it can help open up the arteries, which can help people who have bad circulation (like myself) or those who get a lot of headaches. Not sure if it will aid in kicking a metabolism in the butt, however, grapefruit can help do wonders for the metabolism if you are looking for a natural source that can help aid it.
Working out and eating small meals through the day is...

Achieving the Proper Mindset
If you are not ready to change your lifestyle and commit 100% to it, you will never achieve your health and fitness goals. There are many people I wish I could help, but the reality of the matter is, THEY have to WANT to be helped and be ready to make honest changes in their lives. They must stick with those changes if they want to reach their goals and succeed. This is true to more than just a...

Two or One?
Ended up getting home too late last night and I was exhausted. Now I need to work up the courage for two tough workouts since I was unable to do it yesterday. I will do one for sure, but I don’t want to miss my workouts for Insanity, so cramming two into one day…not sure if this is a good idea. I suppose I could just not have my rest day this week otherwise and do my plyo circuit...

Anonymous asked: I'm trying to lose weight. Ideally, I'd like to get down to 130, from about 300, so I have a long way to go. I've cut out bread, rice & pasta/noodles from my diet, except I'll have 1-2 pieces of brown rice, wheat/gluten free bread from Trader Joe's. Is that going to make a dent in my weight loss? Should I cut that out too?

vegetable-lover asked: What kind of Shakeology do you like the most? I've tried Greenberry (uck, gross!), Chocolate, and i currently have the Tropical Strawberry. I'm just curious as to what flavors other Shakeology drinkers prefer! My favorite is probably chocolate. :)

The Importance of Measurements
Make sure you are focusing on MEASUREMENTS and not WEIGHT LOSS. When you have weight to lose, the numbers on the scale may be deceiving. You’ll be gaining muscle while burning fat. Oftentimes in the first few weeks you will see weight gain from muscle, so your body IS changing, just not on the scale at first. This is why I suggest taking measurements. You may not notice differences on...

Push Harder
As difficult as it can be to always push your limits, I will admit, it always feels so amazing to surpass your own goals. I set my limits high, even sometimes to a point that may be unreachable for myself on a given day, but I do my best and put in 100% effort every time. I would much rather schedule three hours of workouts, try my best to aim to meet that three hour period and fail and only do...

Body Types
We all have different body types. We should embrace this idea rather then, as a community, continually throw out pictures of our “ideal” body types. Ideal,in the end does not mean possible. We are all built very differently and there are no ways to truly sculpt a body into something is can never be.
It is very discouraging for many women and men who scroll through the fitblr...

Fitness Websites
Here are a few of my favorite fitness websites, why I like them and where you can find me on them (links included). Please send me an ask with yours so I know who you are if you add me!

Don't Cave
Don’t cave for a guy you liked but couldn’t give you the time of day when you were less healthy. If he didn’t care about you then, he obviously doesn’t have the best intentions in the care he “fakes” now. This is honestly a good tip for anyone. Just because you care doesn’t mean their intentions are rightly placed, so please don’t make that...

Grocery Shopping
Look for the organic plant based foods as the main bulk of your diet. I’m personally 100% vegetarian about 80% of the time; I also tend to keep dairy low, but not enough to become vegan (what can I say, I love my cheese!) and eat very little meat, usually less than once a week if that. ‘Everyone I know who subscribes to this ratio has more natural energy and feels better than people who eat too...

Guilty Pleasures
So, I am compiling a list of wonderful and healthy late night snacks and working on an overall nutrition plan for myself and anyone else who would like it. I want to put some other suggestions on it as well. Have a great blurb about something YOU use? Let me know and I will feature all of your favorites with a promo for your blog next to it. So, what is your guilty pleasure health food/drink?

Places to Find Me
I just wanted to stop for a moment first of all to say thank you for all the amazing comments you have all sent me. Such lovely people we have in this fitness community. I am grateful to be a part of one of the few truly good communities on here. The vast majority seem to all be here to help one another succeed and that is truly amazing.

Rest Day
My rest day from Insanity was so relaxing. Still did some moderate stretching and workout though. What do toy like to do on your rest days?
I went to the park and pampered myself a little. Feeling so much better lately. Started getting back into my groove. Insanity and shakeology have given me an abundance of energy and they seem to be seeing me a ton of great results already.

As much as I would LOVE to fix my sleep schedule, I am a late night fitblr, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I know a lot of people tend to complain about their dash being dead around this time, so I figured I would do one little shout out about my blog. Don’t typically do this.

Getting motivation to workout when you are not in...
No doubt this is a typical issue with everyone of us, both seasoned athletes and those newly working toward health and weight loss goals. It can be easy to get caught up in the cycle of telling yourself, “it is fine, I’ll just do it tomorrow.” Here are a few tips for what I do to keep myself motivated and pushing forward even when I don’t have a supporter there to cheer...
